General Dentistry

  • Regular Check Ups & Cleanings
You know that you’re supposed to see the dentist at least twice a year, or sometimes three times a year, but life can often get in the way. Just keep in mind that by seeing you at least every six months, we can monitor your oral health and catch potential issues before they grow into full-blown problems. Besides, we want to see you because you’re like family! If you need to schedule your check up, call us today or send us an email and we’ll get you scheduled at your convenience.
  • Fluoride Treatments
Consider scheduling a fluoride treatment with your next cleaning. Fluoride provides additional protection for your teeth with a quick, easy, in-office procedure. It’s not only for kids. Some adults can benefit, too! Ask us about our in-office or our take-home fluoride options. We’re happy to help!
  • Periodontal Treatments
Periodontal (gum) disease affects 80 percent of adults in the US. Since it has virtually no symptoms in its early stages, very few people know they have gum disease until it progresses into something more serious. If we find you are in need of periodontal treatment, we can oftentimes take care of you right in our office, non-surgically. Scaling, root planing, and soft-tissue laser therapy help us keep you healthy. For those patients who are more periodontally challenged, we offer referrals to the finest specialists in our area. We can even call and set the appointment up for you while you wait. It will be our pleasure.
  • DIAGNOdent
This laser is a wonderful diagnostic tool to help the doctor determine the presence of tooth decay. Early detection means less deterioration, less expense, and improved health. It is yet another weapon in our vast armamentarium to help keep you safe from dental disease. After all, a smaller cavity is easier, less painful, and often less expensive to restore.
  • Dentures, Partials, & Implant Restorations
Missing teeth can make you feel self conscious, interfere with your diet, and even lessen your life expectancy, according to studies. However, diverse, high-quality replacements can help you reclaim your smile and your way of life. We’ll examine your mouth, explore your options, then help you decide the best way to replace your missing teeth.
CEREC is a new state-of-the-art technology that can provide you with a permanent restoration or crown in about an hour. That’s right; no temporary, no follow-up visit, no hassle. You just come in for an appointment, then walk out with your permanent restoration or crown. It’s that easy!

With CEREC, Dr. Vernon prepares your tooth, conserving as much of your natural tooth structure as possible. Our CEREC technician takes a picture of the prepared tooth, then the computer reads the image. With the help of the technical designs, it mills out a perfect “puzzle piece” to exactly fit the prepared tooth. The restoration is then permanently bonded, and your tooth is now virtually as strong as it was when it originally came through your gum in your childhood.

CEREC restorations are completely metal free and biocompatible. Long gone are the days when you had to settle for a black filling to restore a back tooth. And long gone are the days that your tooth had to be ground down into a peg to glue a crown on it. We keep as much natural tooth structure intact as possible so that we can bond the beautiful new restoration or crown to strong enamel. Call us today to see how our CEREC technology can change the way you look at dentistry. It’s amazing!
